Treo 600
A new gadget! It has been a long time since I have indulged in purchasing any new personal tech but this was one I had been saving my pennies to buy (a lot of pennies).
It is the new Handspring Treo 600 phone/PDA.
It just came last night and I played with it a little bit before creating a problem for myself. I had another cell and wanted to switch the numbers between the two phones so that I kept the old number and my wife got the new number. Neither phone has worked since! 3 calls to Sprint and still no luck getting this sorted out (it is now a "known issue" for a number of people and is requiring some back end work). You would think I would have learned my lesson about being an early adopter by now!
Hopefully, I can soon report on how such a device might be useful to support learning.
