Get a Feed Reader

Jump Right In!

There are many different FREE feed readers. Some are programs that you download and install on your computer, others are websites. Each has its advantages (PC programs typically have more features, web feed readers you can access anywhere). I am going to show you the one I like and guide you through using it to start subscribing. The service I like is called Bloglines ( http://www.bloglines.com ). I like Bloglines because it is free, easy to use, and it is web-based so I can check my feeds at home, work, or even on my mobile phone.

So, go to Bloglines and sign up for an account. This is an easy step but, just in case you think it is hard, I have created a one-minute animation using Flash (TM).

After you have signed up with Bloglines, then go to the last part of the lesson called: Subscribe to Feeds.
